I hope to have a report on the party and some pictures up tomorrow, but today I want to tell you about the jewelry I'm wearing. The bracelet is also from World Vision, and I got it from my parents for Christmas the year before last. The earrings came from a place called House of Hope in Nicaragua. You may remember this post about my mom's friend who visited. The women and girls there do things like make earrings (and other things) that help support the ministry and provide them with vocational training.
A few weeks ago, my mom came back from her bible study with this pair of earrings for me. Her friend had brought them back for me. Imagine my excitement when the blue on the earrings matched the blue on my bracelet so well! The scarf was just the icing on the cake for me. I love it when things like that happen!
I do want to let you know this about the party: by the end of the day yesterday, we reached $1158.50!! Yeah, I can hardly believe it myself. It was such a blessing. Thank you to everyone who donated! (and be on the lookout for another challenge on Tuesday!)
