Less than a year ago, friends at Not For Sale started dreaming up HOME Soup. This past March, they started making soup and providing warm food for women working in the red light district in Amsterdam. They wanted to use HOME soup to provide sustainable futures for women looking for a way out of prostitution. An update from the summer:
As the HOME enterprise began to expand, Not For Sale partnered with a local government shelter that provides service to women who have been victims of human trafficking and in June 2012, HOME offered the first four training internships to survivors of exploitation.
This fall, they plan on continuing to expand. Not For Sale is doing some exciting things in the Netherlands. The full update is here.
