Day 232

Let me tell you about the Restore Leadership Academy (Restore International). A few nights ago, I was listening to the August 24th episode of the RELEVANT Podcast that included an interview with Bob Goff, who started Restore. The school has a sponsorship program, but it's not what you would expect.

I got all the kids together and I said, hey, here's how our sponsorship program works...We give you seeds, you raise the food, you sell the food, and then you sponsor a little skater kid in Portland with a swoop haircut...What makes you leaders is leading.

These kids are learning to lead. I can't wait to see the impact they have on Uganda and the rest of the world. You may be wondering what the Restore Leadership Academy has to do with slavery. Education is one of the most powerful tools to keep kids free and to allow them to seek freedom for others. And that's not all that Restore International does, either. You can find out more about them here.

And if you want to get involved in what God is doing in Uganda, you can start by giving (then shoot me an email at onedressoneyear [at] gmail [dot] com and let me know). You can also check out their website and click "Get Involved". A whole generation of young leaders are being raised up in Uganda, and I want to be a part of it! What about you? Are you in?
