We need to begin pursuing justice by escaping fragmented causes and the latest social fads. We need, instead, to consider the big idea of justice, a theology of justice, and how it relates to God. –Ken Wytsma, Pursuing Justice
Many of the words surrounding the justice movement, including justice itself, are often tossed around but rarely defined. This week, I started reading Pursuing Justice by Ken Wytsma. If we’re going to seek justice, it’s important to understand what it is. So far, Ken has done a really good job of going back to square one and reclaiming words like justice, righteousness, and love.
I’ll post my full review of the book on Thursday, but today, I want to hear from you. Ken and Thomas Nelson have given me a copy of the book to give away, and you can enter to win it by leaving a comment and answering the question at the bottom of the post. I’ll pick a winner after 8pm EST on Wednesday, and announce who it is on Thursday!
How would you define justice? What does it mean in your life and community?
